Connecting to your video display
SD/HD video connections
When the Helios X3000 is connected to an HDTV, it can support both standard definition - such as PAL or NTSC and high definition. If connected to an HDTV over the component and HDMI video output, the Helios X3000 can support high definition such as 720p /720p@50Hz /1080i /1080i@50Hz /1080p.

Finally, click again to complete your video setup.

Connecting to your audio equipment
Digital audio output
When connecting to speakers or an amplifier via the optical or coaxial audio output, the Helios X3000 perfectly supports 2 stereo digital channel, Dolby Digital, and DTS audio.

Analogue audio output
When connecting to speakers, a home theatre system or directly to the TV, the Helios X3000 supports 2 channel stereo analog output and 5.1 channel surround audio output.

Connecting to your local area network (LAN) or wireless network
Wired network connection
By connecting the network cable to the port labeled LAN RJ45 at the back of the Helios X3000, it will obtain an IP address automatically as long as your router is DHCP enabled. Alternately, you can set the IP, DNS and Gateway settings manually.

Wireless network connection
After adjusting the network connection to wireless mode in setup, the Helios X3000 can detect the access point automatically. The Helios X3000 supports both WEP and WPA encryption.

Streaming media content from a computer or NAS (Network Attached Storage)
1.  NAS
If your NAS server supports the UPnP AV protocol (many do), the Helios X3000 is able to detect  and automatically stream all of your media content to it without  the need for additional software or a computer.

2.  Computer
Helio’s NeoLink application enables you to organise your media files and stream the content from your computer.

NeoLink software is currently compatible with Microsoft Windows only.  However, there are alternatives for Mac and Linux users such as Elgato's EyeConnect (Mac) and Wizd (Linux).
Note that Windows Media Player 11 has built in UPnP support. Helios players will "see" WMP on the network and stream directly from its library.
